I understand why I need to tell anesthesiology about my prescription medications, but why do they need to know about my herbal supplements?

Just as some of your prescription medications can interact with anesthesia, so can your herbal supplements. In this Quick Tip, I share with you the importance of telling your anesthesiologist about ALL of your medications and herbal supplements. You can also learn about some specific supplements that you need to discuss with your medical provider prior to your delivery day.
